The Board of Directors has five members:
Paul Vangerven (Chairman), Luc De Vos and Bruno Van Loocke as non executive Directors. The executive Directors are two of Sofico’s shareholders: Piet Maes and Gémar Hompes.

Paul Vangerven - Chairman of the Board
Paul Vangerven brings in a world of experience as manager and board member of several of Belgium’s most respected companies. Paul has been active in ICT (NRC Belgium), FMCG (Alken Maes, Brouwerij Maes) graphical industry (Brepols, Carta Mundi, Foresco Packaging) and media (Belgian Media Holding).
His management experience is extremely broad and Sofico will benefit from his advisory tasks related to strategic, organizational, financial, commercial and general management, along with experience in IT, governance and motivation of teams.

Luc De Vos
Luc De Vos has been one of the key actors in the creation, development and internationalization of some of the household names that are now sparkling on the ICT sky of Europe: EUnet & EUnet International, PING, Planet Internet, KPNQwest, Qwest, KPN Belgium, MediRing, Jobscape, Stepstone, the Neo Group.
Luc has been involved in the creation or development of more than 25 companies. In more than half of those he was founder or co-founder, in almost all of them director and in one third of them he was also part of the management team as CEO or CFO.

Bruno Van Loocke
Bruno Van Loocke has extensive experience in all areas of finance in various industries, including accounting & controlling; credit, cash & risk management; audit and strategic planning; legal, tax and insurance issues; and business optimization.
Bruno has been CFO with Real Software and held several financial jobs within the TotalFinaElf Group. He was CFO with Sabena Technics and at present, he is CFO with Luminus. Sofico will appreciate his proven leadership skills, involving managing, motivating & developing teams, combined with his proactive and result oriented approach and excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

Piet Maes
Shareholder - Technology & Product Manager
Piet Maes is one of Sofico's founders and a pioneer in our product development. He is the key architect of Leasebase and the intellectual father of Miles.
In addition to his business and technological achievements, he is also software visionary. Together with his development team, he is leading Sofico towards market leadership with Miles, to provide the most comprehensive and most flexible software solution for leasing and fleet management.
Piet Maes is Sofico's Technology & Product Manager.

Gémar Hompes
Shareholder - Managing Director
Gémar Hompes started his career with Peugeot (PSA) in Paris where he first got in contact with Sofico and our first generation product Leasebase.
He has been with Sofico for over 10 years and he knows the leasing business inside-out. He grew into a diversified career and holds extensive experience in all areas of Sofico's software projects, in various countries. He started-up Sofico Services Australia as General Manager and streamlined the management and structure of Sofico Services Benelux.
Gémar Hompes is Sofico's Managing Director.

Their combined expertise in business and technology, strategic planning and analysis and their extensive knowledge in our primary area of activity is of immense value to the Sofico team.
